Hi,

I've followed all the guides and using 12.2 Frodo XBMC and MediaPortal 1.4 backend (tv server is hosted on a different PC)

Mediaportal client works fine (allbeit very slow channel changes) whereas when I use default (tsreader) settings on the XBMC Live TV function it appears to change the channel but there is no video or sound.

Can anybody help?

Enable xbmc debug logging and post a xbmc.log file on xbmclogs.com and the link here...
I can't guess what is happening without any details of your setup.
Is your XBMC client running on Windows or Linux? Did you share the timeshift folder for the client machine and can you actually access the share?

Does the channel preview feature of the TV server result in video+audio for the same channel?
