If you don't have the MOVIES and TV SHOWS options on your home page, then you don't have your media files scanned into your library.

Thanks for the reply. This didn't cross my mind because all the files show up in the list, but ... It appears you're right, although it is very strange that my library disappeared. It also seems that my paths all had the content type set to "none", which is no good (;

I've updated the content types and re-enabled the auto library updater add-on and I'll check it in the morning.

I figured I'd add my comments as I just had this same issue.

Click on "C" when you highlight your "movies" folder. Select "edit source" and then make sure to select "this directory contains" and select "MOVIES"
It will now add the "movies" selection to your home screen.

Exactly ... only I shouldn't have lost this setting when I upgraded.
