Under a new menu option called "Acceleration" right below playback"Playback", but you'll only see the option when you have the "Settings Level" set at "Advance" or "Expert".
THX, worked.
I had a really hard time finding the settings level. I finally found it when i changed to re-touched skin, i still have not found it in Confluence. Seems to be really well hidden Big Grin.
Older image, but the general location in Confluence.

I can't Find iT in confluence
Arrow down when you hit DVDs, I think you have to hit it twice (can't remember off hand). It then will then highlight Basic.

Hitting enter will cycle through Basic, Advanced, Expert.

Are the issues the same for all kind of videos?
What's happening with mediacodec enabled (log welcome, too)?
Are you talking about different codecs or containers also?

With mediacodec enabled it is like software decoding, it's basically working but both cores are at their limits. (so I think it is not doing anything)
mpeg2 is also faulty. not that bad, not that often but there are some issues. Sometimes stuttering, sometimes artifacts, sometimes it is just going well.
I can provide some more logs or screen, if you are interested.

another log, playing mpeg, just very few framedrops this time

using gotham beta2 on the ouya I get pixelated artificats that flicker on and off the screen throughout the video. The video is a mkv remux h264 heres the sample https://www.dropbox.com/s/gtfq4p4s6rnzxk...29-001.mkv
so, I hope all steps I did were right...

The Device I use is the following:

Himedia Q10-ii

SPECs:
OS Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
Main Chip Dual Core / Cortex-A9 up to 1.6GHz / Mali400 GPU

XBMC:
XBMC (13.0-BETA2)
MediaCodec disabled, Libstagefright enabled

here is my log:
http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=158102

The Problem is, that HW-decoding (libstagefrigth) does not really have an effect for HD-video (h264).
Some videos stuttering with up to 10 fps, other videos shows only one picture...

On this device it works with the "onboard" HimediaVideoplayer. But this player is not full compatible for using it as externalplayer in playercorefactory.
Full functionality with xbmc libstagefrigth would be really great !!

Thank you

Have you tried disabling both h/w accel modules and using software decoding with mutli thread ticked ?

Yes I tried this with beta1. It was not successfull. I can try it again with beta2. Is there a reason, why you think this could be or could become successfull? In my understanding, I would expect, that software decoding can not play HD-video fluently. Am I wrong with this expectation?

Well all I can say is that my tabs ru on software decoding and play 720 & 1080 without problem.
I tested it yesterday - Softwaredecoding with multicore (Gotham beta2).
It was a suprise: 720p video was ok in best quality.
Most 1080 video did not start (sound was to hear but picture was blank) bluray.iso was starting but the movie was running in "slowmotion". I think half-speed.
