Cannot get access to the Miscellaneous options in Confluence, its greyed out. This may be the reason that I cannot get videoresolution info to display in recentlyadded fields. I would really appreciate some help here

Which "Miscellaneous options" are you referring to?

I can't get in to the Appearance -> Settings at all. Settings is greyed out

The following doesn't work for you? System/Settings > Appearance > press right arrow to get to right pane > press down arrow to get to "- Settings" > press ENTER to display Skin Settings page.

That is correct. The Word - "Settings" is greyed out and unavailable to edit. If I change skins to say, Aeon, then it is available. I'm using Confluence.
