CEC option to stop playback when TV is turned off
#1
I initially posted this on Trac (http://trac.xbmc.org/ticket/14488) but was referred here. Here's the original request:

Currently the only actions that can be performed when the TV is turned off is suspend or shutdown. For those who use their HTPC for other things than XBMC (such as file-sharing) suspending is not an option. Stopping playback would definitely be nice though since currently if you watch live TV and turn off the television XBMC will keep playing the channel all night long (thus also hogging the tuner).

YES!!! Great suggestion. This would be a very valuable feature.

It is 100% predictable that the average TV watcher is just going to turn the TV off, leaving XBMC working, using your bandwidth, hogging a tuner, etc. it is equally, if not more, important when you are watching streaming video.

I would love this option too because I use my HTPC also as a download-server and now it stops to download when I turn off the TV.

Did anybody try the HDMI Cec tray from chir21?

Does this support additional settings? I would love it when the remote buttons were linked to the keyboard buttons, so that I can use CEC not only in XBMC but also in all the other Windows-programms.
But I didn't find a find a link to download this software. Do I have to buy it over the "donate"-button on the bottom? I actually thought it is for free?
