I am running XBMC XAF 12.1 on my iMito 1. This custom build uses Mx Player to play videos.

I can use the Yatse remote on my phone up to a certain point, but as soon as I start playing a movie Yatse disconnects with no play/pause buttons.
This is because the movie is playing in Mx Player, which I do like over the other player.

I guess my problem lies in getting the Yatse Remote to work with Mx player...

I'm sure other have ran into this problem too, but I didnt see any posts on the subject.

Good point. I use yatse also and it does the same for me but I never isolated it to mx player.

Going to try the GoogleTv Remote App and the RkrRemote V2.0.2 to see if those will work for me instead.

I even bought the Unlocked version of Yatse for 3.99 and I still cant seem to get it to work with the external Mx Player

I don't think there's a way for XBMC to communicate playback controls to external players, at least not on Android. If that was added then this would be possible, because then XBMC would handle the communication between external player and remote app.
