Hey Luna.
I just registered for three reasons.

One, I love the add-on. Its been a lot of fun and a great way to force me to watch the 1000s of movies and shows I've downloaded. Also, Genesis integration has made it a lot easier for me, so I don't have to download most things.

Two, there is a feature that used to be in the older versions that I would really like back, Before, if I pressed H or most any keys in the center of the keyboard, it brought up the XBMC controls and let me turn off subs, change audio tracks, etc. etc. I can't find that in the newer version. If it is there, how do you bring it up? If it isn't, please bring it back.

Three, I would love a new feature in the channel builder. Something that allows me to split up, for example, comedy between 3 channels or more. Smart playlists would be great for this, but some of the better options there like duration don't work. Maybe a menu in the channel building that allowed you to set how many channels are assigned to a genre or whatever and then a box to check or uncheck as to whether content is shared between channels. Describing it is easy, Coding it may be another matter.

I checked before clearing the cache again and all I have is a add-on_data/script.pseudotv.live/cache/logos folder and it is empty. I do not have an artwork folder. I checked while PTVL was running and old logos and artwork were showing.

logos being empty is a good thing. It means the physical cache files were removed...

I'm thinking you're having an issue with XBMC texture cache... try deleting textureXX.db from your userdata/database folder... this will let XBMC rebuild it's thumbs...

Deleting textureXX.db worked, but that seems to be the only thing that works. After deleting it and restarting, I changed a channel logo and the only way to get it to show was to delete the textrueXX.db again. Also, even after running PTVL for a few hours, my cache/logos folder never gets anything in it.

Playon integration, that's awesome! Just curious, what are load times typically when switch to a Playon stream?

can you test dev build v.0.4.8c has playon autotune... can't get amazon to work (never really had success with playon, amazon)... need you to test for me please.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I am looking for something different, Iwas looking for a way to access the subtitle search add-on.
With this I can find subtitles via opensubtitles.org etc. It's not about turning subtitles on or off or swapping between them.

It features a rewritten "Direct Plugin" Chtype 15 along with the new "Direct Playon" Chtype 16.

For Playon to work you need to create a XBMC Video Source titled "PlayOn"
Add new source, navigate to upnp sources and select playon... it should appear as a source upnp://09324908320948230948320498.
Title it "PlayOn" <- Name is important! without PTVL will not know what source is actually playon.

_1, Plugin path, paths match what you see when navigating the plugin.
_2, Exclude list, can be files or directories
_3, File limit (applies to each directory). So 25 will parse 25 files per 25 directories found.

That Playon feature sounds amazing since it can easily integrate so many videos and movies from their huge source of plugins. Has anyone tried this? It might be worth paying the flat fee if you can have access to so many movie sources to incorporate into your sources.

Luna, I want to send you a log but I don't remember how to do it? I'm trying to use OSS favorite, which I then moved to SuperFavorites, and PTVL fails to scrape it.

Out of curiosity did you try my sub feature? It should use the sub service available in Gotham and up.
It should launch search sub, as long as you set it up in xbmcs settings.

Development build will always show up as the last stable version number. Use the commit title as a reference to version number.

thanks for the updates, new features and your continuing hard work. I have been having a problem with PTVL as of late that effects both of my PC's. When I leave PTVL to play it chokes up on certain files it plays. I have no idea which of my local files it doesnt like as it apears randomly. When it happens I see a black screen with the standby symbol. I can hear the sound playing but stuttering. At this point PTVL is unusable and I have to open the task manager to force quit XBMC. At the time of the crashes XBMC also generates a stacktrace and a crashlog at a rate of 1 per second. I end up with 10's of thousands in my userdata folder taking up gigabytes of space. I don't have any problems playing any of my media in standard XBMC. XBMC has as long as I have used it played anything I throw at it. I have tried the development and stable builds.

Your log doesn't have any clear errors from PseudoTV Live... Looks like you have a lot of plugins and misc things installed on your XBMC. Any of those things can be causing an issue or conflict with PTVL.

I would start completely clean with the min needed for PTVL, and see if the crash happens again. I'd also make sure to install the latest version of metahandler.

FYI, To my knowledge there isn't anything PTVL access or runs that is capable of causing a catastrophic error like the on you're getting.... those types of problems are usually spawned from XBMC, like a player crash or database crash.

PTVL can slow down and appear to lock up XBMC, but never really crashes it all together.

ok, thanks for the reply. I will give that a try.

Update: I googled for "metahandler" and found a repo called S****repo. (It may be against forum rules posting it). It updated a load of my plugins but I never saw anything about metahandler. I eventually found a git for it and downloaded and updated it manually. Done a little testing by launching PTVL and changing channels. It hasnt crashed thus far. I think it may have fixed the problem. If that doesnt work I will continue by deleting unneeded plugins. If that doesnt work I'm coming down to your house with the family to watch TV at yours...LOL
