so if I knew what file to edit to point to my ustvnow xmltv.data it would work ? and that's not on google or if it is it's so well hidden I'll never find it .

If my research is right, it calls the server on line 3001 in ChannelList.py.
At least, the url currently listed there points to an xmltv file on a Google server, so that should be what you need to change! Just my guess... Big Grin

Be patient next update fixes xmltv

Just tryin' to help a brotha out. Smile We don't want another xavier.ba in here, at least. Haha
That should be a temporary fix until Luna here fixes it for good.

Haha, yeah... well i'm all for you guys creating your own xmltv files.. take the load off my fileservers... but when you start talking about editing the code, that's not such a good idea. Unless the change is for the better Smile

I added a new xmltv download service to PTVL, update will be tonight, kinda rushed to get it out so I might have left some stray code that could be buggy...

You weren't kidding!
Hi Luna

With the latest update V.0.5.1 , I told it to force reset the channels. Now it is stuck on channel 1 and not finishing adding the channel. It only does 50 entries so it doesnt take that long to parse the DB.

Kinda busy right now so i cant get any logs. Will upload them when i have time later tonight. Just putting this out there incase anyone is is having this issue, and knows how to fix it

Cheers!

BTW: Channel one is just a local HBO content, nothing special. Just HBO shows

I haven't updated to the latest release yet (going to wait and let others tackle any potential bugs--besides once you have a working system, why tempt fate?) but after doing a complete system reinstall (Ubuntu Mate) I'm discovering pretty much all my previous issues with this (and other addons) have melted away. Clearly trying to hack Mate desktop (Gnome 2.x) on my own ended up breaking things I had no idea existed. Now that I'm running the latest and greatest version of Ubuntu with the Mate desktop everything is much smoother, audio works much nicer and video playback has soared compared to the way it limped along previously.

I don't know why the log said something about the donor and then crashed (please check back previous posts; I posted a second log which mentioned the donor list before crashing--the first log I posted was with verbose on and didn't match even though xbmc still crashed the same way,) but regardless I'm trying to get a donation processed now so it won't be an issue in the future. ^_^

Thanks for the great work you've done with this Lunatixz, I sincerely hope the donation buys you a shot or two!

I'm going to go donate again Smile
Hey Luna, what is the average time before the latest version start up. so far PTVL has loaded all channels and then just sit there for more than 20 mins. And it has done this with both background updating on and min use, I have provided both screenshot and log: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/7yvkdni9py6cb...-azEa?dl=0

What is the syntax for manually adding a smart playlist to your settings2.xml file? I'm trying to integrate my lazytv playlist into psuedotv.
