Hello there !

I've just installed Xubuntu 13.04 on a AMD Athlon XP 2400+ with 1gb of Ram and a old Geforce FX5200 128 Mb. It runs quite fine and even if I'm a newb in the linux world, I can handle it. I've tried the Live CD of Frodo 12.2 but it's very slow so I tried to install it on HD. The resolution of the installer is unreadeable even with the fixed dpi option. I tried to install it blindless but the installation falls during the process (I just don't know why).
Now, I in the Xubuntu desktop and I've downloaded XBMC from the official ppa but when I launch XBMC, it freezes after 5 mins.

Welcome to the XBMC forums.

Please do not paste your log directly in your post as this creates too much clutter. Instead, please enable debug logging in XBMC and, after it crashes, upload your entire debug log (wiki) contents to a public paste site such as www.xbmclogs.com and post just the assigned URL here.

install a proper nvidia binary driver for your card. Although there probably won't be any hardware acceleration.
