tvshow.nfo files not working
#1
just took the plunge and updated Eden to Frodo and all went well.
Scan said needed to update images to work with Frodo. Scan complete
Upgraded addons etc , all working well.
Just went to TV Information to check series info and test the nfo file
and it does not get recognized. Says Update All series Info and click yes and then
dialog pops up with Show name asking to get from the TVDB website.
I have the tvshow.nfo and definatley has correct structure.
Even copied text from example and it does not see the nfo file

Is there any special setting that needs to be adjusted.

All was working well on Eden

[edit]
Just noticed the tvshow.nfo does not see the <tvshow></tvshow> tag , if i replace it with <episodedetails></episodedetails>
then it works. The popup comes up and asks if you want to use Locally stored nfo file for the main show info

[edit2]
just to advise any Dev that see's this.
http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=NFO_files/TV_shows did not work.
I copied the example for tvshow.nfo and it did not refresh from local file

this is my tvshow.nfo which does work on Frodo 12.2

I suggest switching to a Gotham build, if you can.

Gotham has an option to select content as TV, but use local infomation only.

This hasn't been ported backwards to Frodo sorry.

Getting back into xbmc again after a year. I am currently on Gotham, lost many hours with this issue before I found this thread. The TVshow tags dont work, once I switched to episodedetails everything worked. Are we able to report bugs somewhere?

Hmm ended up posting this in iOS support instead of windows support. My bad, I guess it applies to the Windows Gotham, not sure if its the same for iOS.
