issues with Airplay to multiple xbmcbuntu devices?
#1
To separate this from possible openelec issues I create a new thread.

Anyone managed to get airplay to work to multiple xbmcbuntu devices?
Did you have to do anything?

I get 1 openelec + 1 xbmcbuntu to show (although not very stable) but the second xbmcbuntu will not show up.

Hostname & device name unique. Not sure if there is any other ID that is broadcasted or the problem is not related to the number of devices?

Check the mac adresses. If they are the same it will showup as one unique thingy ...

To be 100% sure I have checked the MAC in ubuntu/ifconfig and they are different.
The same MACs can be seen on the router.

I probably need to test on a clean installation/4th machine. The problem machine runs all kinds of services.

It works on a third out of the box xbmcbuntu so that'is no problem.
Still on the xbmcbuntu devices comes and goes. Not stable enough to use. OpenElec on pi seems pretty stable.
stable = at least showing up in the list.

What can be done to improve this? Better/different router?
