Hello guys,

as of a couple of months i am becoming more and more sucked in to kodi and all of its uses.
now i dont know if some one can help me with this.
I have a m3u list of channels ending with .ts as is play them on an androidbox these channels play a few seconds and then they stop.
i probably need to make an adjustment to my list in order to make the mx player stream them properly.
I kindly request someone with experience with this problem to guide me to a solution.
The links are all ok as far as i can tell now. they just dont keep playing very long.
So either some one is blocking the stream or the file is not as it should be to play correctly.
Someone please help.

when I download the file and open it this is all I get in the text editor:

any idea how to get this to stream in XBMC?

It it can help, you can open an m3u8 file with "PotPlayer" and it plays well. Just open PotPlayer and go to the upper left hand side and click on "Open" and then "Open an url" and paste the url : http://.....m3u8.

Can't Kodi play encrypted stream?

When this part was in the m3u8 list, it couldn't be played.
#EXT-X-KEY:METHOD=AES-128,URI="http://......"

A key and binary data can be downloaded.
But it's local, it couldn't be played.

Before playing, do I have to decode?

Hi All,

Did anyone every have any success in getting .m3u8 files working longer in Kodi? I have .m3u8 links which play fine in VLC but when I add them to a playlist in Kodi they just play for 20 to 40 seconds and stop. I also added them to a .strm file but the result was similar, the links would play and freeze every 20secs but it does stop.

Can anyone tell me how I can go about getting the .m3u8 links playing in Kodi just like they play in VLC?

I'm currently using Kodi 17.6
