OS X Playback jumps/cuts post upgrade to 12.2
#1
Hi

Upgraded to frodo 12.2 on mac mini osx and now video and audio jumps forward as if the stream is cut - skipping about 0.5 or 1 sec at a time.

Been trying to downgrade the Audio settings and they are now at:

HDMI Audio Output
2.0
Boost Volume on down mix
AC3 Capable
DTS Capable
HDMI Output Device

Video settings are now
Full Screen 1
1920x1080p

Playback settings are now
Auto Detect render method
Allow hardware VDADecoder
All rest OFF

All videos are off SMB share going through a BT Home Hub 4.

Been tinkering with the settings all evening and I can't seem to undo the jumps/skips on any video. Its pretty consistent.

Just wondering if I need to post a log file or am I missing a trick here and there is a fix I'm overlooking/missed.

All help greatly appreciated.Huh

I wish I knew what to say, but it's a bit above my head. Maybe one of the devs will have some insight.

Not a clue. Alot of strange audio device errors in there, but i think they are not related. Did you try without HW acceleration?

Could you try to disable vertical blank sync for a test? (this could lead to tearing though).

Here you go - with vertical blank sync disabled:

Unfortunately the same jump in picture occurred, but less 'jerky' - noticable nonetheless

What are your audio settings in the audio-midi-setup application from osx?

BTW I've ruled out any network issues by having these files on the macmini and it still jumps.

Out of a need for pragmatism, where can I get a mac 12.1 download - alas i didnt archive the previous binary before overwriting with 12.1 my bad I know.

Thx

Thanks.

I downgraded to 12.0 - and everything is absolutely fine.

To help I've uploaded a log of the same actions so you can see no errors in 12.0 on same file, vs 12.2

I'm OK with 12.0 (had trouble with timeouts on 12.1 so will try that tomorrow).
