Hi everyone, I use xbmc on openelec with a raspberry pi. Any version of openelec past 3.0.1 automatically updates the YouTube addon to 4.4.6 which is broken (see multitude of posts on this).

Any solutions to how I can bandaid this issue? What about manually installing an old YouTube version (revert in menu is grayed out) or using ssh to revert it via terminal.

Also, how do I make it so my addon doesn't automatically update? I keep going back to an old version of openelec where my YouTube addon works but the addon eventually seems to upgrade to a new version and then it no longer works.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the XBMC forums.

You can turn off "Auto update" (left slide-out menu option while viewing list of add-ons/categories). This will prevent all add-ons from updating automatically. You can then periodically check your add-ons for "Available updates" and manually select those you wish to have updated.
