Req Full Blu Ray BD-J support for decrypted BluRays
#91
@Ace, going to test your windows branche, posted a little earlier.
Yesterday I pulled the latest GIT but menu's are still a nono... (also latest GIT libbluray)

Did you change something more in your branche to enable BDJ menu?
Still waiting for installer to finish...

Just tested Captain America - Winter 2D -> with BDJ.
If it is unpacked -> BDMV folder it is not working (not even trying). I am making an ISO so first I will test with powerdvd and if menu is working I will test again in XBMC. I dunno if that can make a difference.

@tudstudent XBMC has to be built with BD-J enabled or it won't make use of it in case you're testing on linux

Was using this link:
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...pid1778182

To test on windows.
(With this I could compare to Linux, but result seems to be the same with my current tested BR)

this build doesn't incorporate BD-J - it's just a change in playback behavior AFAIK (see PR5228 )

Saw that one indeed.
Okey, then I can assume the support for BDJ still is .... since I use it on linux and there is does not work either..

AFAIK BD-J is still not stable enough for prime time. It might work for some Blu-rays but certainly not for all

have been following this the past week also, it looks like libbluray is getting a lot of attention lately last change for it was 2 hours ago, am hoping to attempt a Gotham build today with the playback changes ace made, but am struggling to find how to build libbluray to begin learning and playing around

The changelog for .6 says that most bdj's are correctly played. From my own experience with vlc I've had pretty good success.

That build is without bdjava support. I'll try to provide one with bdjava enabled.

if you can't find the time to build it i believe i have cracked building my own, i also hope you don't mind but i downloaded your xbmc-libbluray06 branch i think it built correctly but it always plays main movie doesn't appear to try any java bits

hope you don't mind am on a learning/want to one day try and contribute even if one small bit of code, as the past 3 days has truly shown the amount of work everyone behind the scenes has done and this would be an awesome feature to finally remove external players so trying my best to help anyway i can

@orby, you need libbluray.dll with bdjava enabled, for work. You need compile, I find this about:

http://cocoaintheshell.com/2013/05/libbl...-mac-os-x/

I am work here, for compile myself, with support other member.

A win32 test build with BD-J enabled can be downloaded here: http://mirrors.xbmc.org/test-builds/win3...87-bdj.exe
I forgot to add the selection patch, so you have to play the MovieObject.bdmv file. Furthermore menus of iso files doesn't work, I haven't found out why, yet.
But mounting the iso with a virtual drive software works fine. The source code can be found here: https://github.com/ace20022/xbmc/tree/bdj

Since it's a test build, I guess you know that it might burn your discs etc... Angel And Helix isn't backward compatible!
