Win UPnP "Play using..." not working - should I get on it?

Hi,
I'm a relatively new software developer, with experience mostly in C. I'm wondering whether there's sense in trying to solve an issue in UPnP.
I just downloaded Alpha 6 (Windows) with the intention of playing videos to my Philips TV over DLNA. I tried playing a local file, with no success. On the UI, nothing's happening. The log shows a CUPnPPlayer::OpenFile unable to open file error. Came across this thread: [Windows] Connecting to TV using UPnP/WiFi, in which:

So, is there sense in me trying to debug this?

There is work being done by alcoheca on further improving UPnP.

However we always welcome devs who are willing to dive into the code getting things fixed/improved.

Good to hear Smile
I'll set up an environment and contact alcoheca after I get my bearings.
Thanks
