Win EPG only importing 8 days of programmes
#1
I'm a newbie as far as XBMC is concerned - I installed it for the first time last week - but so far I'm very impressed.

I have one issue that I'm struggling with. I'm using NextPVR as my PVR backend with EPG data supplied by XMLTV GUI from Radio Times information. This gives 14 days of EPG data in NPVR. However, when XBMC imports this it only seems to import 8 days though I've set "Settings/Live TV/EPG/Days to display in the EPG" to 14 days. If I change this parameter and then reset the EPG database, any setting below 8 days imports correctly (i.e. if I set the parameter to 3 days, the EPG holds 3 days worth of programmes). If I set the parameter to anything above 8 days, only 8 days worth of EPG is imported.

Am I doing anything wrong or is this a bug?

There is no known issues with this. When it comes to xmltv based EPG, it'll always import all the listings from the supplied file. There is no setting which the number of days for this in NextPVR.

Given no one else has reported issues with this, I'm inclined to think there is only really 8 days of listings in your xmltv file. I'm happy to check it out for you though if you can supply a download link to your xmltv file.

Thanks. Here's a link to the XML data file: http://d01.megashares.com/dl/LfvaTLW/XMLTV Data.XML

I've also come across someone who seemed to be having a smilar problem, albeit pre-Frodo and with a different backend: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=150024

Ah sorry, the combination of jet lag and skim reading let me down - I just re-read your post, and now see that NextPVR is showing you the full number of days in it's TV Guide, and it's only XBMC not showing them all. Unfortunately that's sounding like an XBMC issue rather than a NextPVR issue, and I would only have been able to help with the latter.
