I haven't been able to get XBMC to talk on the LAN to my HDS-600RS (that's a UK "Freesat" receiver) but it works OK with the old Windows client. I get the following in the log:

I have a Wireshark dump of the packets from the working Windows session, and I can see that I have the port (5101) correct for the stream, although what looks like the password negotiation at the start is sent to port 5004. I don't understand much else of what's going on.
Can anyone give me some pointers on how the streaming should work? (How to get more useful log info than "error" would be nice.)
I can upload the packet dump if it is of any interest. I don't actually have a Windows box for testing, but I have a Windows XP virtual machine I can run up.
