I'm going to wait for something fanless with the power of the 1037U or G1610.

isn't the x-26 fanless already??

just get one, its $200 shipped...
still hard to beat for an already built fanless celeron box.
it beats all my OpenELEC proposed builds in my HTPC guide. lol

The Celeron 1037U has a fan on it, and a long flat rectangular heatsink.
Am still getting permission to repost the photos.

You may want to wait for the Celeron J1750/J1850 ULV SoC processors. Wibtek demoed a low profile mini itx board running at Computex without fan. They're supposed to release the board anytime now TJ1850G-SA QC
Take a look at this on Anandtech

If it's the same fan as on other Giada motherboards it's quiet enough and the BIOS has great fan control.

i always control my HTPC via WiFi using the YATSE app for my android phone,,,
Once you try it u can't go back!! Problem solved for me!! Can't use anything else!!

And i think that the fanless X-26 is capable of WakeOnLAN so,,,
if YATSE app can Wake it via WiFi, man, best HTPC in the world!!

Some of us still "need" IR.... Nod

The same heatsink is used on the Giada D2550/GT610 I use in my E-Q3i barebones and SH-80 barebones. It's quiet and the BIOS has good fan controls.

My Chinese wife just spoke to them for me, can get one of these with a 32gb hdd, 4gb ram and Win 7 pre installed for about €128 (not including delivery - she can pick up next month in China when she goes back for a few weeks), seriously thinking of pulling the trigger.

Hi, all. Joined specifically to ask this question.

The ad on aliexpress.com specifically states that it is a fanless unit.

The pictures linked above show a unit with a similar case and motherboard, minus the serial port,
but with a fan.

So:

Does the unit for sale which this thread concerns have a fan or not?

Thanks!
