100% cpu and database updating
#1
im currently running xbmc 12.2 on my windows 7 64 bit hp n40l
using mysql for the database
i have an issue with it constantly running at 100%
i have tried a few gui settings in the advanced settings xml, disabled the feed, changed skins and still have the same problem
im thinking of doing a full uninstall and reinstall but just wondering if my media source folder settings will stay there. or what file its located in?

ok so all i done was load xbmc wait a little bit open my profile wait a few minutes and then close it

http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=49483

one other thing i have symbolic linked my xbmc folder from appdata to another hard drive as it made it easier to access and mainly because the thumbnails folder was getting too big for my main SSD HDD is this a problem?
should i change it back and only link the thumbnails away?
Quote:also on the thumbnails how do i link my raspberrypi to the main htpc thumbnails?
im guessing i have to edit the <thumbnail pathversion="1"></thumbnail> in the profiles xml but not sure to what? an smb share? eg smb://192.168.2.45/share folder/user/appdata/roaming/xbmc/userdata/thumbnails/ Huh
Code:
<profiles>
    <lastloaded>0</lastloaded>
    <useloginscreen>false</useloginscreen>
    <nextIdProfile>1</nextIdProfile>
    <profile>
        <id>0</id>
        <name>Master user</name>
        <directory pathversion="1">special://masterprofile/</directory>
        <thumbnail pathversion="1"></thumbnail>
        <hasdatabases>true</hasdatabases>
        <canwritedatabases>true</canwritedatabases>
        <hassources>true</hassources>
        <canwritesources>true</canwritesources>
        <lockaddonmanager>false</lockaddonmanager>
        <locksettings>false</locksettings>
        <lockfiles>false</lockfiles>
        <lockmusic>false</lockmusic>
        <lockvideo>false</lockvideo>
        <lockpictures>false</lockpictures>
        <lockprograms>false</lockprograms>
        <lockmode>0</lockmode>
        <lockcode></lockcode>
        <lastdate></lastdate>
    </profile>
</profiles>

i also get this error when closing 1/10 times

Not sure, but there's a lot of UPnP activity in the log. I don't think it's because of your symbolic link.

what would be using UPnP?
i disabled the UPnP from xbmc and it did drop the cpu usage but switches from 25-80% every second or so.
also noticed zeroconfig doesnt work.
