Raspberry Pi as MySQL Server
#1
Hi Guys,

i got two machines as MediaServers and two XBMC-Clients.

Now i want to sync the libraries with mysql. Since i dont want one of the Servers running all the time even if i dont use any media from it i thought about using my Pi as a mysql server.
is that possible? is the pi fast enough? and does anyone have a how-to?

thanks for your help,

flo

I've done it before. It's not the fastest but it works quite well and it is relatively easy to set up.

I had it sharing my library to my main HTPC and another Pi.

Well, got it working under an Arch Linux build... for sure not fast enough for my large library.
