overkill imo

drop the amd for the new haswell i3 (when released)and 1150 mobo and then no need for the gfx card and then u can reduce the psu to a quality 300-400w psu .

like others mentioned a 60gig SSD is more than enuff

something along those lines would be a lot less heat and and should be a lot less power usage

Good information here and pretty much what I said via email. I suggested:

E-i7n USB3 (since it'll fit the Ceton tuner) with 120W AC adapter
Either a large SSD or small SDD + small notebook HDD
i3 Haswell
LGA 1150 mini-ITX motherboard
4GB RAM
Maybe a Gelid 80mm PWM for a little more cooling

Use the large SSD or small notebook HDD as a live TV buffer and a place to store recordings until they can be swept to the NAS. If using a notebook SSD locally for recordings, a motherboard with mSATA would be nice to get an mSATA SSD for the O/S and have more airspace for cooling, fewer wires, etc. (depends mostly on budget). Reliability/longevity is important so ideally a SSD for OS and the live TV buffer + local recordings on a small notebook HDD.

A 3.5" HDD with a Ceton tuner in the E-i7 would be a bit much.
