Win Displaying Chinese Subtitles (simplified)
#1
Hello,

I want to display Chinese subtitles for my roommate when we watch movies. I have tried replacing my Arial font in the main xbmc media/font file with a Unicode font. When I do this and open up xbmc then everything that would contain letters doesn't appear there anymore. Not in Chinese or in English.

Change it back to Arial for now so you'd at least get English text.

The default Arial font should have coverage of the unified CJK unicode block, so I would think it would work, provided your subtitles are encoded in UTF-8.

I use the xbmc addon for subtitles. How will I know how what format my subtitles are encoded in?
