CuBox-i a new possibility?
No sadly not. Would be nice to have always same different test templates, so we could test everytime with the same video files. Do you have some templates or links ?

I've got a set of test files I use, I'll see if i ca upload them somewhere over the next few days.

I'm pretty happy with 1080i OTA ATSC with wolfgar's patches. My big problem is 720p H264 mpegts from my HDPVR with too many drops and playback is not fluid. Much higher bit h264 bitrates play fine so there is something about these files because I can't even remux them into a format that works.

I've you have some sample files, I would be interested in them - its always good to add odd files to my test library.

Nightly builds will be found here: http://xbmcnightlybuilds.com/category/openelec-cuboxi/

You can find my first test build here http://xbmcnightlybuilds.com/openelec-cu...-download/ or if you wait an hour or two there should be a new build available.

Like other platforms, new builds will automatically be built after every git update.

I'm putting together a script that should make installing easier too, and will make pre-created sd card images.

Hi mate, still working on pre Created sd card images ? Would be really nice ! Thanx ...

Yes I will be. I got my devices on Friday so it will be easier for me to test now. I'm away in Italy for the weekend, but will take a look when I get back on Tuesday.

Should have something soon Smile

How have you been enjoying them?

Sadly, haven't had a chance to touch them yet Sad Got ill whilst I was on holiday, so lost most of last week.

I have a free afternoon tomorrow, so will be playing then Smile

Sorry to hear you were unwell on your holiday, that sucks when you are meant to be having a relaxing time off. Mine are currently sitting at my parents house (they were purchased for them as HTPC's) but I won't be able to play with and configure until Easter for them due to work constraints. Still, hopefully the bugs shall be ironed out by then and it means I get less tech support phone calls when they crash!

Looking forward to reading your experiences.

2. Scanned my 450 Movies
4. Library: If i choose the big list view showing only poster at once without fanart, scrolling is acceptable, with fanart enabled i'm getting slowdowns and really no pleasure.

OpenElec, and it works pretty good with Amber and Confluence. I think your speed problem could be the size of your storage partition (or the amount of space you have in the userdata folder). I set mine to 1.5GB size. After downloading images for 1500 items it is quite fast when moving around and reloading the pictures and fanart.

If anyone wants to post a link to some test files, I'll download them onto another partition on my SD Card and run them.

What about hardware acceleration in 1080p, no dropped frames?

Aeon Nox is being rewritten to work with Gotham, but I have downloaded the test version 4.1.9, and it seems to run at a reasonable speed on top of OpenElec.

I have not had a problem with dropped frames so far. However, am willing to try some test files on Cubox-i2 Ultra.

Further testing:
It can play 90Mbps h264 mkv jellyfish test file with zero dropped or skipped frames.
Test file used was from here: http://jell.yfish.us/

A faster SD Card does make an improvement over the standard Class 4 (4MB/s) SD Card provided by Solid-run.

I have this problem with the GeexBox build, but the OpenElec build 17780 plays them fine.
