Hello! This is my first post and first time setting up XBMC, so take it easy on me Smile
I'm coming from a Boxee Box so many things are the same but a lot if different.

I'm using Windows8, Aeon skin, and I'm going to hook the pc up to a 50" tv through HDMI.

1. After I set up my Movies theirs 50 Movies it could not find. Is there a place I can "manual" setup movies that XBMC couldn't find. Boxee had this problem as well but would let me manually say what movie and year it was. Then it would get the art work and summary.
2.How do I get to full screen? I can still see top and bottom bars when in XBMC.
3.I have Amazon Prime. After I setup the "add-on" it would not let me view any videos. It says "Script failed"
4. As far as TV shows it didn't find some. Shows like "The Americans" and "Caste" no information was found. How do I manually do that?
5.How do I set up a screen saver after theirs no activity.
6. I'm setting up PseudoTV. How do I find the "Program Guide"? Is their a key I just haven't hit yet that will show me all the channels and I can skip to them.

Thank you!

1. If your movies are named correctly they should be found. Follow these guidelines:

http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Vid...les/Movies

2. Hit the "\" key

4. Same thing with the naming.

3. The Amazon Prime add-on by BlueCop is broken due to changes by Amazon (DRM). However, there is a replacement add-on that uses a web browser to access the content: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=164087
5. System/Settings > Appearance > Screensaver

Thank you guys!

As far as naming videos I think I have them correct. The naming of them is the same as Boxee.

Is there a list of videos that XBMC couldn't find? That way I can go straight to those files.

Thank you!

You should name them the same as the online movie database that you're using to scrape them. Generally if you use the name that IMDB uses with the year in parentheses after, that's all you need. If you have them in separate folders, name the folder the same.

Proper naming does avoid the problem, but if you are not so inclined for whatever reason...

With the Unidentified files:
BoxeeBox has an 'unidentified videos' listing that you can go in and manually match the videos. As far as I am aware, I do not think XBMC has this feature, I could be wrong.

Edit: Found the appropriate page for the OP

Actually, I learned on that page that you CAN manually match videos with the XBMC scrapers (second paragraph). I never get into that because I use a media manager (ViMediaManager (wiki)) to set things up before pulling movies into XBMC.

If that doesn't work, simply create a plain-text nfo file named the same as your video file but with the '.nfo' extension, and place the url to the movie info in it (e.g., "http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0401792/"). Then scan it in, it should scrape fine.

...

Actually I was referring to the a manual matching with the link, that is how fix some unmatched ones. I had a written out version, briefly talking about match videos manually, but edited to show the link instead, as it covers the entirety of this situation. The BoxeeBox has a section under files that groups all the unidentified files in one place, XBMC, does not do this, instead you must search through your source to 'refresh' individual unidentified files/folders and address their proper content.

Thank you for all your help. I'm going to look into the movies that it can't find. I did them all by hand (1500 movies) when setting Boxee up before so it took a long time. I'm sure I got a few wrong like maybe adding two .. when their should of only been one.

I'm excited setting up XBMC for the family room. We only have one TV and no cable so I want this working right before I show it to my wife. She just wants FIOS and a TIVO but I'm trying to show her that a HTPC will work for us.

Some thing I think she would really like is PseudoTV. Boxee Box had Nothing like this. I need to get it working fine first. Does anyone know about question #6 I had? About how do I find the "Program Guide"? Is their a key I just haven't hit yet that will show me all the channels and I can skip to them.

Thank you!

Thank you for the Amazon help. It's working great now!

Does anyone know about my PseudoTV question? How to get to the program guide within it? I think if I can get that working I can move my XBMC pc in the living room and kick the BoxeeBox out!

Ok. Now I have the HTPC setup and it's in the living room and my wife is using it.

How do I change TV shows that are make in the UK and US. By default "House of Cards" is the UK version and not the US version. How do I change this? It seems strange because "The Office" shows the US version.

Name the series as per thetvdb.com

UK: House of Cards
US: House of Cards (2013)
