Win Can video decoding set/configured at the individual video level?

I notice when you turn on hardware acceleration(dxva2), it is automatically used for videos which are capable of using the hardware acceleration. For ex. 1080p videos use hardware decoding whereas dvd would use software decoding. I have an HTPC using intel sandybridge graphics which is known to cause artifacts/macroblocking in some videos using hardware decoding. But they would play fine using software decoding. One way is to change it in settings/video/playback before playing that kind of videos and then switch it back for other videos which is painful.

Wondering if it can be set/configured at the individual video level or even while playing it.

Thanks!

You should disable DXVA period. Sandy bridge is powerful enough and gave better result when DXVA is off.

I would if it works. Unfortunately without DXVA, all high quality 1080P HD videos stutter. That's why trying to see if there is an easy to configure it.
