I'm trying to add a SMB source for viewing pictures in Pictures but I can't get it to work?

I followed the instructions here: http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=Pictures

And found a YoutTube video on it, it seem very simple but it doesn't seem to work.

Here's what I did:

• Added new source
  
• Navigated to SMB shared drive
  
• Added several shared folders
  
• Finished.
  

I called the new source Vacation Pictures. The source does show up in Pictures, however, when I go into it, I see nothing listed, just two dots, like ..

I tried right clicking the source and there isn't even an option to Update Library?

This seems like such a simple task, am I missing something?

You seem to be doing whats needed and it should be very simple.

can you browse this same source from a windows desktop locally and see the images?

what file types are your images stored as?

Thanks! That was it! The Windows Credential Manager didn't work. Is there a way to display photo thumbnails? I couldn't find any settings for that.

XBMC should generate thumbs as needed. Just switch to a view that displays the thumbs.
