I'm having a issue with video playback after 90 seconds the video stops and returns to the menu. But if I start the video and skip to 2 minutes the video will play faultless. I can't find any results for this all help will be appreciated

Does this happen with EVERY video ?
If no, probably there is something wrong with your video file.
If yes, we will need you to upload a debug log (wiki).
You might want to look at the sticky threads of the support forum of the OS that you use, there are guides everywhere on how to provide details on an issue.

Not every video but I have just switched to xbmc from media centre and the videos work perfectly on media centre

Yes, we will need a debug log then. Did you follow the Windows guidelines for setting up your audio ?
