From my understanding SC just adds the ability to move the main menu catagories and add/rename them? I've been trying to figure this out in my 2 days of MQ4, sounds like I need SC is that correct? Is it possible to retain my settings after downloading SC?

SC does just the opposite. If you would like to do that MQ4 standard is your best option.
