Linux XBMCbuntu can't handle wired and wireless connection at the same time
#1
Gentlemen,

I have updated to the newest stable version of xbmc (12.2)

I have set-up my xbmc to my laptop with a cross-cable to transfer directly to xbmc.
The laptop has a static ip, and also xbmc. so far so good.
In windows 7 i can access the hard disk and copy every file i want.

However xbmc doesn't accept both connection at once.
so if i want to use the cross-cable, i have to completely remove my WiFi (USB).
and if i use my WiFi i have to completely remove the cross-cable.Confused

So i can't use both, this was something i didn't have with xbmc 12.
i just want to copy the files, and then let the scraper do the rest.

i hope somebody can help me with this.

Thanks

You should be able to use both, but it's not an XBMC issue, rather it's an Ubuntu configuration issue. You'll need to Google on how to set up two network connections on Ubuntu to get things to work the way you want.
