indeed but it's long since passed
tried to take the code to matt huisman but i could never get any PRs approved to his core code to support it (which were feature enhancements that didn't modify how it already worked)
since then i have stopped using Kodi for this content and the code is archived, probably will never see the light of day
best option is to just create ".strm" files for the titles and scan them in to Kodi then they will be pseudo "native" content

if anyone is at least a little bit savvy you can create a simple context menu addon to do this easily from within Kodi, the context addon can extract all the listitem properties to generate a file
