The now playing list does not update when XBMC itself (not the remote) adds something to the queue. Switching between video/music queues and back does a refresh however.
(I realize it might be the app uses the web interface - but if so maybe it could poll every sec or so? Or make that an option?)

yep I know, was always in this way. It should be treated but it not should happen so often as use case, in that case switching between video/music queues is the workaround waiting the real fix.

It happens to me all the time, as I normally use Last.FM playlist generator to autofill the queue.
In case there is no easy push functionality could you for the moment implement pull-down-to-refresh here? The music/video library lists have that already, and it would feel a lot more native & natural here as well compared to the switch-to-videotab-and-back-to-musictab workaround.
