Linux Ubuntu 1304 audio stops when opening Chrome
#1
When I use the window mode for XBMC and open Chrome browser (more specificalyl Chromium browser) the passthrough stops working and the sound in XBMC disappears. Seems something in Chromium is taking control of the audio for some reason.

I am using default Ubuntu sound install. The audio output decide is "HDA Nvidia" and the Passthrough is "HDA Nvidia". I have tried changing the output device to the pulse audio with mixed results. Sometimes I get no sound , other times I get no sound and very choppy video. Selecting Nvidia is the only option that works properly other than the Chrome issue. I wonder if the built in flash player is the cause?

Using the c urrent stable version of XBMC from ppa.

Only happens in Chrome/Chromium....tried Opera and Firefix and it doesn't replicate the same behaviour. I tried disabling any audio related plugins in about:plugins but that doesn't help either.
