I am using the latest from repository and I keep getting this error message. The log tells me it is looking for xbmc gui 4.0.0 and can't find it. I am running the latest stable release of frodo 12.2 whick according to xbmc wiki is 4.0 gui correct? am I missing something obvious?

It shows 3.0 gui in this log because I tried changing the addon.xml but still no avail. Thanks for the help

I really cannot explain why it would fail.
Also you should never alter the versions.
Set them back as you found them.

Here's the version set for Frodo. https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/blob/Frodo/.../addon.xml
As you see its 4.0.0 or 4.00

I realize I shouldn't alter the versions but the only other threads suggested that. I am running the latest version set and frodo....I guess I will have to use another skin until I get further into development and know the xbmc system. Sucks I really liked this skin but the constant popup annoying,,,,,perhaps there is a way to disable that popup altogether in the xbmc core?

i think it has something to do with the version check service addon.
