sounds nice. but the only way to control xbmc via network atm is to use the itegrated webserver. there is a tool already using it to remote control xbmc --> http://www.geocities.com/grundir4/xbmr/
read the xbmc online-manual, faq and search the forums before posting! do not e-mail the xbmc-team asking for support!
read/follow the forum rules! note! team-xbmc never have and never will host or distribute ms-xdk binaries/executables!

if you're willing to code it up, it'd be easy enough to do.

another option (not as good, but easier for the xbmc side of things) is to use an ir emitter and send remote codes - not sure how easy that is to do with a creston system.

xbmc can handle all 254 remote codes, so you could get total control fairly easily.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.
For troubleshooting and bug reporting please make sure you read this first.
