Win No PVR Client Installed
#1
Hi,

So I've had my PVR setup and going just fine for several months now. Got home tonight and tried to watch some recordings from the PVR through XBMC and I got an error message saying "No PVR Client Installed." I've tried restarting both NextPVR, XBMC and my computer with no luck. Running Windows 7 and have the latest versions of XBMC (12.2) and NextPVR (2.6.2).

I've got a debug log. Would anyone happen to know the answer? I've tried searching through the forums and haven't had much luck.

Debug log: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=64523

Thanks in advance,

Did you verify you have Live TV enabled and a PVR client enabled? SYSTEM > Settings > Live TV > General > Enabled

Yeah, that was one of the first things I checked. I also disabled and re-enabled the add in to see if that would do the trick and it didn't work.

Sorry for the bump, but I've been trying to get it to work all day with no luck. Would anyone else have any suggestions?

20:13:17 T:2496 ERROR: XFILE::CFileCache::Open - failed to open source <http://127.0.0.1:8866/service?method=session.initiate&ver=1.0&device=xbmc>

shows me either a firewall issue, you have the recording service stopped, or an ip/port error.

Thanks, Martin. I have verified that the firewall on my PC is off. I shouldn't have to turn it off on my router, right? XBMC, NextPVR and the directory where recordings are stored are all on the same PC, which is hooked directly to the TV.

I think the recording service is still on and functioning as I open NextPVR and see newly recorded shows.

What would I need to do to check an ip/port error? If there is no router involved in the process, would this be an issue still? Sorry, there's a limit to my PC savvy.

Thanks again for the response.
