<sorttitle> for movie sets not working

All, so I have tried a lot of things to no avail. The issue is that some movie sets are not following the <sorttitle> tag.

Background:
- Using .NFO files built by MCM
- Using default SQLite
- Movies are on a remote windows mount
- Seems the order is the row order from the VideoDB
- Using sort by name

Debugging Steps so far:
- Checked all .NFO files -- all have correct sort title and movie set
- Check the VideoDB and content is also in there correctly
- Switched skins to confluence -- the movie set IS ORDERED correctly -- by sorttitle. Hence I think its a NOX issue.
- Deleted and rebuilt videoDB. No good.
- Also looks like sort by date is not working for the sets with issues
- For some reason the fan art is not displaying when the movie set is active ...

Is there some sort of cache within NOX that remembers order of movies Or perhaps is failing back to for some other issue?

I really do not know where to go from here. Any hints would be great!

Ok, so I solved this -- user error (I guess :-)).

Basically I had changed the shortcut for movies to the video node of a set of movies out on a shared server. The video set was marked as movies for that video node (for the scan) BUT it seems Aeon Nox (or perhaps just XBMC in general) treats it differently. The following does not work when this is done (by design I am assuming):

- The sorttitle is ignored
- The tagline display does not work
- I *think* new/watched also do not work

So the fix was to change the shortcut to a move smart playlist instead. Than all was fine!

You live and learn -- figured it out just prior to rebuilding from scratch.

Cheers, Tony.
