Linux XBMC fullscreen on second monitor?
#1
Hi all,

in my first multihead setup (so likely to have beginner oopses) I'd like to run XBMC fullscreened on second head. (HP 22" 1680x1050, I'll stick to "HP")
Primary is an Acer AL2723W (1920x1200, "Acer").
SuSE Linux 12.2/64, nvidia 3xx binary driver on a GTX 460, Acer on DVI, HP on HDMI.

So far I tried: seperate X screens: when putting XBMC to fullscreen, it hogs the mouse pointer and I cannot bring it back to the Acer.

"TwinView": I like better as I can move windows between spaces, but then going fullscreen XBMC jumps to the primary screen no matter what.
Running it maximized on the HP would be odd due to the window manager being visible, but that won't work any because XBMC does not scale with the window size (why..?)

I guess I'm not the first to try this so pointers appreciated.

Had a chat with Xorg people: program should indeed max to display only in TwinView (=big desktop), so it seems xbmc bypasses the windowmanager completely.

Does it? Anything one can do about it?
