Recommended setup for MythTV + XMBC + commercial skip?
#1
My current setup is that I have a 0.27 MythTV backend that works fine with a Linux MythTV frontend, including commercial skip.

I'm having trouble getting a Windows 7 based XBMC client working with this backend and I was wondering what the current "best practice" was? I've tried using several Gotham monthly builds (most recently alpha8) and while I can play MythTV recordings, commercial skip does not work. It seems that several people are using Frodo+cmyth with 0.27, is that the best way to go?

Thanks,
James

Is comskip enabled in the add on settings? I haven't used a nightly + edl for a while, but when I did there was a option to enable/disable it.

Is there anything next to 'edl' when pressing o while watching a com skipped recording?

It seems that with Gotham, comskip is (supposedly Smile) automatically enabled and there is no edl enable / disable option in it... Sad I'll double check tomorrow (too tired tonight!)
