hi!

i have a remote-server where my music, etc. is saved on. on this server runs a nfs-server, a samba and an openvpn-server.
i use nfs/samba over vpn, so nobody is able to sniff this connection.
is it possible to implementate openvpn in xbmc so that i'm able to use samba over openvpn in this case?

thanks a lot for a software/os like that Smile

sorry for my bad english,

so long,

wouldn't it be better to let your router establish the vpn-connection?

set your samba server to deny any connections outside the typical class c 192.168.1.* and whatever specific external ips your wanting to get in and stop being so paranoid. there are much greater conquests on the internet to break into besides your mp3 collection Wink

i agree. if your standard hardware-router don't support openvpn then i suggest you use a cumputer with two network-controllers as a router, or get a hardware-router that runs linux

Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
