RaspBMC Kodi/XBMC test builds
Are you checking from SSH (top) on a "calm" screen or are you checking from the system page in XBMC?
Reply
i am checking from SSH with the bcmstat script. Also on a calm screen (pictures).

When running the latest build(18th),
XMBC starts fine. However when starting video (TVSeries/Movie). The output is simply black instead of the video stream ( also no audio ofc).
Pause menu seems to be working, independent on file and format, and it seems to be stuck at 9 seconds.
Reverting it to zero and pressing play results in a 1-2 seconds fast forward to 9 seconds again.

I was running the 20131101 build before this. And reverting back and running the same files works fine.

Firmware:
I was running the "next"-branch version firmware when i first saw the issue with the 18th build.
But i have also tried the "master"-branch version.
Same issue, so it seems independent of firmware version.

I'm running a USB install and video files are on NFS shares mounted locally via fstab.

I'm at work right now so i cannot present a complete log.
But when i tried it out last night i saw errors relating to OMX player and failing to start the stream.

---- EDIT ----

Link to my log ( moment from that i press play on a file).

I had the same problem - go into your audio setup and change it from Analog - For some reason this build seemed to default to Analog audio and nothing would start for me.

Switched to HDMI and all was good.

I am having quite a few random crashes with this build but haven't had a chance to dig in why

Please only post complete logs. Often the most useful information is at the start of the file.

which is the latest build that works with addons ?

Not really a proper question. All builds works with addons, but for example version bump on Python might need a specific addon to be updated.
So either go back to a build that works for one specific addon you want or talk to the addon developer to update their addon (or try to "hack" it as MilhouseVH explained in the link above).
This is always the case when jumping on pre-releases and test builds.

Updated Gotham build, from popcornmix´s newclock3 which was rebased from XBMC master on Nov 23.
Similar to last build but with some changes and fixes.

Again, it is recommended that you update to latest firmware from master tree as explained in post #1.
To install, SSH to Pi and:
Code:
cd .upgrade
wget -O xbmc-13-20131123-newclock3.tar.gz http://goo.gl/gphLmr --no-check-certificate
mkdir -p xbmc-13-20131123-newclock3
tar -xzf xbmc-13-20131123-newclock3.tar.gz -C xbmc-13-20131123-newclock3
Then in Raspbmc, go into "Raspbmc Settings/Nightly Build Configuration/Switch Between Versions of XBMC", and choose new build + restart XBMC.

I am traveling at the moment so I have not tested this build myself.
I would appreciate anyone trying this build letting me know that it works.

Personally I am interested in subtitles and guires toggles (which did not work in my 2 previous builds).

I will try it tomorrow. Today theres lot of shows to see with my wife. Thanks

Just tried 23/Nov NB:

- guires OK
- Video: black screen
- Subtitles: all lines appear at once (I already posted how looks like). Could not try the lagging issue.

Looks faster. Also made my 30-Oct NB faster (updated firmware)
