This is included, however I also saw this which is not included.
So I donĀ“t think that your fix is included.

As far as I understand some PVR addons use dialogues and needs to include import of xbmc.gui (also correct version for the Kodi build) which the HTS client seems to lack in previous versions.
Thanks for the information.

The last problem I see is that XBMC/Kodi doesn't "see" my hifiberry at first boot. I've to restart XBMC/Kodi service to make alsa device seen by the service. It's a little strange.

Sorry, need more information, and if it is a bug someone else (a developer) needs to look at this.
Provide a debug log, and also what type of content (live stream = addon?), but a debug log might show most of it.

Also, what type of acceleration (player is used?
To see what player/setting being used, bring up codec info when playing a video:
omx-h264 = omxplayer
mmal-h264 = dvdplayer with hardware acceleration
ff-h264 = dvdplayer withouth acceleration

That aid, it could be something in your setup too, do you get this behaviour on stock Gotham too?
If so you should probably open a new thread to get more people to look into it.

I saw more users with this behaviour in that thread I linked to, maybe you will get more info over there.

The addon is ustvnow and I am using omxplayer as a default. I saw some threads that says they had the same problem when seeking on live streams and problem is not resolved. When you seek on a live stream any live stream it freezes the raspberry pi. And is there anyway to change the seek button from the up arrow key to something else so i don't miss and press the up arrow key button? Please respond thanks!

Does this use rtmp? This is a long standing xbmc bug:

http://trac.xbmc.org/ticket/14710

Note quite sure why the trac tickets and threads get marked as solved when it's not...

Maybe it's just me but, if you are viewing a "live" stream, as opposed to a media file being streamed on demand ie: from a file locker etc, why would you think that you would be able to seek forward? If I have a commercial DVR connected to digital cable, i can rewind all i want (buffered by the DVR) but I certainly can't expect to be able to seek forward (pressing up as you describe) during live broadcast.

Maybe I just misunderstand the issue here?

I'm afraid you have. Imagine your DVR locking up solid - requiring a power cycle - every time you absent mindedly hit fast forward or rewind. I've done this while picking up the remote with my fat fingers, and then again when I thought I was watching TiVo rather than XBMC. That's the problem here.

Whether trick play during a live stream should work or not is a separate issue, but what it certainly shouldn't do is lock up the GUI.

Texture Cache Maintenance Utility: Preload your texture cache for optimal UI performance. Remotely manage media libraries. Purge unused artwork to free up space. Find missing media. Configurable QA check to highlight metadata issues. Aid in diagnosis of library and cache related problems.

Thanks, I understand clearly now that the issue is accidental keypresses resulting in the lockup rather than the system ignoring them when no logical function of the key is possible.
