I have tried most XBMC remotes in the app store and the Official Remote is by far the best!
I have never experienced any issues until now.
Since I installed an Apple Airport Extreme, it takes a long time for the app to connect with my XBMC machine.
Also when I click on music albums, an empty space is showing. Nothing is showing when I click on 'Files'. Though I'm able to use the actual remote buttons (up, down, menu, etc.)
XBMC Commander doesn't have any problems connecting or showing library data and files in files mode. I'm able to control XBMC with the webserver via the Safari browser on my iPhone.
Did I forget anything? Is the Official Remote more "picky" than other remote apps?
I noticed XBMC uses a lot of network ports:
UDP port 9777
TCP port 8080
Then there's sth called <esport>
and there is port 9090.
Could someone please advise which ports are essential and what port numbers are best to use?
I'm using XBMC 13.0 Gotham alpha8 (Win7 X64) and XBMC Remote v1.4.1 (Sept 19, 2013) for iOS
