Hello,

I'm just a beginner at this whole home theather thing but let me explain my current situation and problems.

- I have a Sony Blu Ray player (s5100) with DLNA and wifi/ethernet.
- My iMac has XMBC running.

The Blu Ray finds my XBMC server immediatly and runs very good: on wifi i can watch a 1080p MKV at full quality without any troubles (this was not the case with Plex).

Problems:

- Subs (same filename as movie/tvshow) are not being snown on my TV via Upnp.
- I haven't found a remote (app) yet which lets me control the XBMC client on my Blu Ray. All remotes i've found control my XBMC software on my iMac, not my Blu Ray/TV.

Can anyone help me with these issues?

XBMC doesn't currently support external subtitles when used as a UPnP server. For now they can only be used when you have XBMC hooked up directly to the TV.

Yes, our UPnP guy is aware of the issue and desires to fix it, IIRC. He's been busy lately, though, so I don't know when it will happen.
