Win Studder, No Sound only in WTV files, happened overnight

I use WMC as my backend recording scheduler, and I use XBMC to watch those recording, as well as my movie collection.
My 1GB + .flv and .avi files are playing back fine, smooth as butter, but just the other day, suddenly XBMC decided to stop playing back .wtv files (these are full hd 1080 OTA recordings).
I checked older recordings (that I watched before) and they display the same symptoms.

I believe my problem is different than others recently started popping up with studder/no sound, since normal videos play just fine.
It plays back like super slow motion (less than 5 fps, not consistently) with no sound. It is as if a recent update or something messed up the playback, is there anything I can check? Run some tests?

Note: The same files play back just fine in WMC and Windows Media Player.

Thread can be deleted, I reset the video and audio settings to default and it started working, my guess is a certain setting was changed with a keyboard shortcut and nobody realized it. There is still a very sync issue between sound and picture, but it is negligible.
