XBMC not working after trying to upgrade
#1
I have an Apple TV Version 2 and I was trying to upgrade to the most recent version of XBMC 12.2.

During my upgrade I received the following message : GPG error: http://nitosoft.com Release: The following signatures were invalid: KEYEXPIRED 1355702829 KEYEXPIRED 1355702829 KEYEXPIRED 1355702829
Apple-TV:~ root# mkdir -p /Applications/AppleTV.app/Appliances

I then tried to revert back to the old version and received the following message: The following signatures were invalid: KEYEXPIRED 1355702829 KEYEXPIRED 1355702829 KEYEXPIRED 1355702829

Now my apple tv doesn't work at all

Please advise

I know this is an old topic, but I have this exact same problem and I would like to know how I can fix this issue.

You just need to remove the nitosoft repo, since it's not being maintained anymore. Run this command via SSH:

Code:
rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/nito.list

and then try the install steps again, and you should be good to go.
