What about something like this http://support.myharmony.com/en/article....d=s-a-2158

Maybe it would be better if you ask this on logitech forum. Just a suggestion, since nobody elses did answer you here and I dont have ultimate (it might be some differences after all here).
If you find something and knowing what settings I have, just let me know and I will copy/paste it here for you.

EDIT: here is mine setting for this particular
myharmony -> Devices -> Microsoft MCE Keyboard -> Change Device Settings -> Device command repeats
Value: 3 (this is max)

Check yours, and I would speculate that you need to lower this setting

Dont forget to sync new settings to HUB.

I guess I should, thanks a lot... I did try repeat previously though I didn't affect anything

hello, i have use this remote http://www.ebay.com/itm/181177170764?ssP...1439.l2649 for a long time with xbmc and it still works just fine just out of the box.I got myself today a Harmony smart control and i am trying to make it work with xbmc but no luck so far.I tried all the microsoft confgs (MCE,SE,EXTENDER,KEYBOARD etc) but nothing works, the hub blinks at every command but i feel the usb ir dongle cant read it.I tried to learn the hub some commands one by one but still nothing.Any ideas?

ah thanks. there's a similar method for getting it to work under linux but i'm on openelec and there hasn't been any movement on the ticket i created for it.

can anyone link me an ir remote/dongle/blaster that works 100% with harmony smart remote and xbmc?

i use a flirc: http://flirc.tv/

Flirc is fantastic. I have two which I use with two different Harmony models and the setup is really easy. There's an XBMC add-on for it so you can even adjust the buttons from within XBMC.

Also, delivery was crazy fast both times.

damn i want Flirc but they dont ship it to Greece,i am gonna look over amazon or ebay

Any other suggestion for a working remote or dongle?

out of curiosity, if you've got it working properly via bluetooth why do you want to switch to IR? seems like that would be a step backwards to me.
Reply
the only crusial thing i am missing using bluetooth is the ability to sleep/wake up my htpc.Only way to do thet is by using IR.

got my cheap no name ir remote working by using device name:Chinavasion ,product:CVSB-983 found at xbmc mce remotes wiki.
