so does anyone know why most h264 remuxes do that weird flashings pixelation every few seconds ?

Non-standard encoding does that with hardware decoders that work according to a set standards. Most clue-less encoder nuts think they know better and set/unset all sorts of goofy switches.

That's suprising to hear since these are untouched bluray rips,I guess even the studios can't do it right.are they working on fixing this

I would say over half of the ones I have tested with gotham beta have worked fine. The decent, your next both worked. Man of steel did not. all with makemkv.

after some tinkering I discovered if I mux the mkv to m2ts using tsmuxer the file plays fine so it must have something to do with the way mkvmerge handles certain blurays I guess. heres a sample of an mkv with the issue https://www.dropbox.com/s/c7ke5i8f09vwog...29-004.mkv and heres the m2ts file that plays fine https://www.dropbox.com/s/zl82sjcy092yo3...9-004.m2ts hope someone can figure this one out.

also converting the mkv to iso using clownbd fixes this issue as well. So there's clearly an issue with mkv remuxes with certain blurays. Hope one of the devs can look into this.
