Gotham on Debian?
I have set up a repository based on the "XBMC from Debian" packages here: http://people.debian.org/~rbalint/ppa/xbmc-ffmpeg/.
The only difference between those and the packages in Debian main is that those use the internal FFmpeg copy.

update: Gotham also entered experimental, the following port clarifies the situation: XBMC 13.0 Gotham entered Debian
I have updated the PVR packages in unstable to work properly with Frodo and will update them for Gotham as well after they migrated to testing.

I'm still following this thread but just to be sure, there's still no official repo from XBMC for debian right?

Are pvr addons included already? If not, how to install them? From source and make install?

This is not maintained by the XBMC Team, but if they like it they can bless it.

There are people working on it but I'm not involved in that movement. There is no package uploaded to Debian main which XBMC could use yet.

You can install them from source (without the XBMC source) now.
I will update the PVR addons package in Debian to work with Gotham after the FTP Masters accept my 13.0 final upload.

Do:

Code:
git clone https://github.com/adamsutton/xbmc-pvr-addons.git && cd xbmc-pvr-addons

./bootstrap

./configure

make zip

You can add it to xbmc from the addons menu (as zip)

The wheezy packages seem to be broken - it depends on libjs-iscroll which is not in backports. They also appear not to be signed. And there are no source packages.

There is a note and a link for downloading libjs-iscroll from unstable until it gets accepted to backports (which I already requested, but takes time).
I have fixed the missing source and the signature, thanks fir the heads-up.

update: libjs-iscroll is now available from wheezy-backports and PVR addons for Gotham are available from Debian unstable.

Debian packages in official repo are broken. After recent updates - still broken. There is no video at all when vdpau enabled - only black screen with sound. Indeed they should to stop serving crap. Please create (if you can) official repo for Debian and all of us will be happy. There are Ubuntu ppas, from ubuntu is not so far to debian.

P.S.
Of course, rbalint's debs with internal ffmpeg work without any problems.

has anyone tried the repo install lately? I had this working on a different debian install, and now when I try again I get this error on the apt-get update command

I look forward to it to be even processed. Nothing happens there.
For the record the bug has been fixed in Libav 10.3(?), thus latest testing packages play the video to the end (1:05). Thank you for providing the test file.
