Linux Hello. Can anyone help me get my Hauppauge Express Card tuner working?

Here's some of my information:

lspci -v
Code:
06:00.0 Multimedia video controller: Conexant Systems, Inc. CX23885 PCI Video and Audio Decoder (rev 02)
Subsystem: Hauppauge computer works Inc. Device 7797
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 16
    Memory at d3600000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=2M]
Capabilities: [40] Express Endpoint, MSI 00
Capabilities: [80] Power Management version 2
    Capabilities: [90] Vital Product Data
    Capabilities: [a0] MSI: Enable- Count=1/1 Maskable- 64bit+
    Capabilities: [100] Advanced Error Reporting
    Capabilities: [200] Virtual Channel
    Kernel driver in use: cx23885
    Kernel modules: cx23885

Right now it seems like the card doesn't do anything. I have logged into the TvHeadEnd web gui and it is recognized, but I can't seem to play anything. I can't scan for channels in kaffeine, either, and in fact, I can't really seem to do much of anything with it.

I'm kinda new to this whole tv-tuner thing overall, but am pretty proficient with linux otherwise. Any help will be nice.

I will give you the equivilant of 10 dollars in bitcoin if you help me with all the issues and get it up and running

Did you do the whole "Add network by location" in tvheadend and let it scan for services? Did it find anything? Also check your dmesg for anything containing "dvb" to see if the modules loaded properly.

granger@MediaMachine:~$ dmesg | grep dvb
[ 16.276743] cx23885_dvb_register() allocating 1 frontend(s)
[ 16.276746] cx23885[0]: cx23885 based dvb card
[ 34.225926] xc5000: waiting for firmware upload (dvb-fe-xc5000-1.6.114.fw)...

I am currently scanning muxes now. If that was the problem, this'll be the easiest 10 bucks you've ever made.

EDIT: It worked. It's the simple stuff you miss...
